Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
KaidáO ("we", "our", or "us") operates the GabbiiDAO platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our governance platform.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Name, email address, password (hashed), and selected stakeholder roles when you register.
- Profile Information: Organization, jurisdiction, and optional profile photo.
- Governance Activity: Proposals you create, votes you cast, and comments you submit.
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and usage analytics collected automatically.
- Blockchain Identifiers: Hedera account IDs associated with your account for on-chain governance records.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account on the platform.
- To facilitate governance processes including proposal creation, voting, and discussion.
- To verify your identity and stakeholder role within the governance framework.
- To record governance decisions on the Hedera blockchain for transparency and auditability.
- To communicate platform updates, notifications, and governance-related announcements.
- To improve the platform, analyze usage patterns, and fix technical issues.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your personal data is stored on secure servers with industry-standard encryption. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data from our databases, subject to the limitations described in the Blockchain Data section below.
4. Blockchain Data
GabbiiDAO records certain governance actions on the Hedera blockchain, including votes, proposal approvals, and governance decisions. Please be aware that:
- Immutability: Data written to the Hedera blockchain is permanent and cannot be modified or deleted. This is fundamental to the transparency and integrity of the governance process.
- Public Visibility: Blockchain transactions are publicly verifiable. While we minimize the personal data written on-chain, your Hedera account ID and governance actions will be visible on the public ledger.
- No Right to Erasure for On-Chain Data: Due to the immutable nature of blockchain technology, we cannot delete governance records once they are recorded on-chain, even if you delete your platform account.

- Preference Cookies: To remember your language and display preferences.
